Renowned neurosurgeon Dr. Franklin Epstein has been practicing medicine for more than 35 years. Committed to his field, Franklin Epstein finished medical school and internal medicine/ neurology residencies before furthering his education to become a neurosurgeon. Diligent in his discipline, Franklin Epstein has published numerous medical papers, earned many awards, and acquired several certifications. Dr. Franklin Epstein's bibliography dates back to his days as an undergraduate student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. With Nobel Laureate and Professor S. E. Luria as his advisor, Franklin Epstein researched and authored an honors thesis titled "Rate of Inactivation of Bacteriophage-e Containing p32-Incorporated DNA." During his tenure as a student at the New York University School of Medicine, Franklin Epstein acquired an Honors Program Research Grant and penned a paper, "Laser Induced Thrombosis in the Microcirculation: Differential Adherence of White Cells and Platelets to Endothelium," which was published in The Inflammatory Process by the Academic Press. Franklin Epstein's later publications include "Series Elasticity of in vitro Mammalian Cardiac Muscle," for the American Journal of Physiology and "Medical Complications and Critical Care in Head Injury" for Head Injury, among others. An accomplished medical student, Dr. Franklin Epstein's time at the New York University School of Medicine was marked with awards and scholarships. In one year alone, Franklin Epstein was presented with seven awards, including the James E. Tower Award, the Glover C. Arnold Award, the Frederick C. Holden Award, the University Founders Day Award, and the Solomon Shapiro Award. Franklin Epstein also obtained the Samuel Spiegel scholarship and the Alpha Omega Alpha Award recognizing scholastic achievement.
